How to Hard Reset — HTC Prime
The HTC Prime is Microsoft Windows Phone 7 device with 512MB and 512MB internal storage. It features a 3.7", S-LCD, 480.0x800.0 display and is available in Black.
The Prime is equipped with a Removable Li-Ion battery, a 5 MP, 720p main camera. The device uses a Mini-SIM configuration.
Hard Reset on the HTC Prime works differently than it does on Android, since this platform uses its own menus and terminology. Follow the steps below, written specifically for this device rather than adapted from Android instructions.
On this device this is just a forced restart/power-cycle — it does not erase data by itself. See Factory Reset for the data-erasing option.
Windows Phone devices generally don't have a hardware button combination that wipes data the way Android's Recovery Mode does
The closest equivalent is the in-menu Factory Reset described in the Factory Reset guide below
If the device is completely frozen and won't respond to the Factory Reset menu, remove the battery for 30 seconds (if removable) to force a restart, then try again
Exact steps vary by exact model and firmware version — check the printed manual or the manufacturer's support site if these don't match your device
