Back up contacts and messages first — Symbian resets erase everything on the device
Open the dialer and enter *#7370# (works on most Symbian S60 phones), or go to Settings > Phone > General > Restore Factory Settings
Enter the lock code when prompted — the factory default is usually 12345
Confirm and wait for the device to restart
If *#7370# doesn't work on your specific model, use the Settings menu path instead
