How to Hard Reset — ZTE Max XL
The ZTE Max XL is a 2017 Android 7.1.1 smartphone powered by the Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 (28 nm) with 2GB and 16GB | 32GB internal storage. It features a 6.0", IPS LCD, 1080.0x1920.0 display and is available in Black.

Hard resetting your ZTE Max XL via Recovery Mode will completely wipe all data, apps, accounts and settings, restoring the device to its original factory state. This is commonly used to fix persistent software issues, boot loops, prepare the phone for sale, or recover from a forgotten screen lock. Back up your data before proceeding as this cannot be undone.
All data will be permanently erased. Back up first.
Power off ZTE Max XL
Hold Volume Down + Power until Recovery appears
Navigate to 'Wipe data/factory reset'
Press Power — confirm 'Yes' or 'Factory reset'
Wait for completion
Select 'Reboot system now'
