The mobile hotspot feature on your phone lets you share your phone's cellular data connection with other devices such as laptops, tablets or other phones. This is useful when no Wi-Fi is available and you need to get another device online. Note that using a hotspot consumes your mobile data allowance and drains the battery faster than normal usage.

1

On your phone: open Settings > More > Tethering & portable hotspot

2

Tap 'Mobile Hotspot'

3

Toggle ON

4

Tap the hotspot name to set a custom name and password

5

Use WPA2 or WPA3 security

6

Share the network name and password with devices to connect

7

Note: hotspot uses mobile data and drains battery quickly
