Connecting your phone to a Wi-Fi network is essential for downloading apps, streaming content, making video calls, and keeping your mobile data usage low. Android supports all standard Wi-Fi security protocols and saves multiple networks so the phone connects automatically whenever you are in range. The steps below also cover common troubleshooting methods if you experience connection issues.

1

On your phone: open Settings > Wi-Fi

2

Toggle Wi-Fi ON

3

Tap the network name (SSID) you want to connect to

4

Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap 'Connect'

5

The Wi-Fi icon appears in the status bar when connected

6

To forget a network: long-press it and tap 'Forget'

7

For connection issues: toggle Wi-Fi off, wait 5 seconds, toggle back on

8

If still failing: forget the network and reconnect from scratch
