How to Soft Reset — HTC Lead
The HTC Lead is Android 2.3 smartphone powered by the Broadcom BCM4329 with 768MB and 768MB internal storage. It features a 4.3", IPS LCD, 480.0x800.0 display and is available in Black.
The Lead is equipped with a Removable Li-Ion battery, a 5 MP, Yes main camera. The device uses a Mini-SIM configuration.
Performing a soft restart on your HTC Lead is the quickest way to resolve minor performance issues, app freezes, or unresponsive touch screens without losing any data. Unlike a factory reset, a soft reset simply reboots the device and clears temporary memory, making it the recommended first step for any troubleshooting.
Does not erase any data. Always try this first.
On your HTC Lead: hold Power for 2 seconds
Tap 'Restart' or 'Reboot' in the menu
Wait ~30–60 seconds for the restart to complete
Force restart if frozen: hold Power for 10–15 seconds until screen goes black
Device reboots automatically — no data is lost
