How to Hard Reset — Samsung Z3
The Samsung Z3 is a 2015 Tizen 2.3, upgradable to 2.4 device powered by the Spreadtrum SC7730 with 1GB and 8GB internal storage. It features a 5.0", Super AMOLED, 720.0x1280.0 display and is available in Black, Silver, Gold.
The Z3 is equipped with a Li-Ion 2600 mAh, removable, a 8 MP, 720p@30fps main camera, a 5 MP front camera. The device uses a Hybrid Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by) configuration. It weighs 137 g.
Hard Reset on the Samsung Z3 works differently than it does on Android, since this platform uses its own menus and terminology. Follow the steps below, written specifically for this device rather than adapted from Android instructions.
On this device this is just a forced restart/power-cycle — it does not erase data by itself. See Factory Reset for the data-erasing option.
Tizen devices generally don't have a hardware button combination that wipes data the way Android's Recovery Mode does
The closest equivalent is the in-menu Factory Reset described in the Factory Reset guide below
If the device is completely frozen and won't respond to the Factory Reset menu, remove the battery for 30 seconds (if removable) to force a restart, then try again
