How to Hard Reset — ZTE Era

⏱ ~5 min📋 6 steps

The ZTE Era is a 2012 Android 4.0 smartphone powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 with 1GB and 8GB internal storage. It features a 4.3", TFT, 540.0x960.0 display and is available in Black.

The Era is equipped with a Removable Li-Ion battery, a 8 MP, 1080p@30fps main camera. The device uses a Mini-SIM configuration.

Hard resetting your ZTE Era via Recovery Mode will completely wipe all data, apps, accounts and settings, restoring the device to its original factory state. This is commonly used to fix persistent software issues, boot loops, prepare the phone for sale, or recover from a forgotten screen lock. Back up your data before proceeding as this cannot be undone.

All data will be permanently erased. Back up first.

1

Power off ZTE Era

2

Hold Volume Down + Power until Recovery appears

3

Navigate to 'Wipe data/factory reset'

4

Press Power — confirm 'Yes' or 'Factory reset'

5

Wait for completion

6

Select 'Reboot system now'
