How to Soft Reset — ZTE Era
The ZTE Era is a 2012 Android 4.0 smartphone powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 with 1GB and 8GB internal storage. It features a 4.3", TFT, 540.0x960.0 display and is available in Black.
The Era is equipped with a Removable Li-Ion battery, a 8 MP, 1080p@30fps main camera. The device uses a Mini-SIM configuration.
Performing a soft restart on your ZTE Era is the quickest way to resolve minor performance issues, app freezes, or unresponsive touch screens without losing any data. Unlike a factory reset, a soft reset simply reboots the device and clears temporary memory, making it the recommended first step for any troubleshooting.
Does not erase any data. Always try this first.
On your ZTE Era: hold Power for 2 seconds
Tap 'Restart' or 'Reboot' in the menu
Wait ~30–60 seconds for the restart to complete
Force restart if frozen: hold Power for 10–15 seconds until screen goes black
Device reboots automatically — no data is lost
