Hard resetting your HTC One Max via Recovery Mode will completely wipe all data, apps, accounts and settings, restoring the device to its original factory state. This is commonly used to fix persistent software issues, boot loops, prepare the phone for sale, or recover from a forgotten screen lock. Back up your data before proceeding as this cannot be undone.

All data will be permanently erased. Back up first.

Hold Volume Down + Power until Fastboot mode appears

Navigate to 'Recovery mode' — press Power
