How to Fix Black Screen — Dell Streak
The Dell Streak is a 2010 Android OS 1.6 smartphone powered by the Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon S1 with 512MB and 16GB internal storage. It features a 5.0", TFT, 480.0x800.0 display and is available in Black, Red, white.
The Streak is equipped with a Removable Li-Ion 1530 mAh battery, a 5 MP, 480p@20fps; 720p (via SW update) main camera. The device uses a Mini-SIM configuration. It weighs 220 g.
A black screen on the Dell Streak can occur due to a drained battery, a software crash, or the screen becoming unresponsive. In most cases this can be resolved with a force restart or a short charging period without any data loss. Follow the steps below in order before considering a factory reset.
On your Dell Streak: charge for 30+ minutes with a different cable and charger
Hold Power for 15–20 seconds
If still black: hold Power + Volume Down for 10 seconds
Try holding Power + Volume Up to enter Recovery Mode
In Recovery: select 'Reboot system now'
If Recovery loads: wipe cache partition then reboot
Last resort: factory reset from Recovery — erases all data
