How to Backup to Cloud — Samsung One UI
Applies to all Samsung One UI phones and tablets. Menu names may vary slightly by Android version.
Backing up your phone to Google ensures that your contacts, app data, call history, device settings and photos are safely stored in the cloud. If you ever need to factory reset, switch phones, or recover from data loss, a Google backup allows you to restore everything quickly during setup. We strongly recommend backing up before performing any reset operation.
Always back up before any reset operation.
On your phone: open Settings
Tap 'Accounts and backup'
Tap 'Back up data' under Samsung Cloud
Toggle on: Contacts, Photos, App data
Tap 'Back up now'
Also enable Google backup: Settings > Accounts and backup > Google Account > Backup
