How to Software Update — Samsung One UI
Applies to all Samsung One UI phones and tablets. Menu names may vary slightly by Android version.
Keeping your phone up to date with the latest software ensures you have the most recent security patches, bug fixes, and new features. Regular updates protect your device from known vulnerabilities and often improve battery life and system performance. We recommend always updating over Wi-Fi with the battery charged above 50 percent to avoid interruption.
On your phone: open Settings
Tap 'Software update'
Tap 'Download and install'
If an update is available tap 'Download'
Stay connected to Wi-Fi during the download
Tap 'Install now' when download is complete
Keep battery above 50% — the phone will restart during installation
Do not turn off the phone while updating
