How to Fix Battery Drain β Samsung One UI
Applies to all Samsung One UI phones and tablets. Menu names may vary slightly by Android version.
Excessive battery drain on your phone is usually caused by background apps, high screen brightness, location services running constantly, or a software issue. Identifying the source of drain is straightforward through the battery usage screen in Settings. Most battery drain issues can be resolved without a factory reset by adjusting a few settings and restricting background activity.
On your phone: open Settings > Device care > Battery to see which apps drain the most power
Restrict background activity for high-usage apps
Enable Battery Saver from Quick Settings or the Battery menu
Lower screen brightness β the display is the biggest drain
Reduce screen timeout to 30 seconds or 1 minute
Turn off unused features: Bluetooth, GPS, Always-on display
Disable background app refresh for social media and email apps
