How to Face Unlock — Samsung One UI
Applies to all Samsung One UI phones and tablets. Menu names may vary slightly by Android version.
Face unlock on your phone uses the front camera to recognize your face and unlock the device automatically. It provides a convenient hands-free authentication method that works in most lighting conditions. Note that face unlock is generally considered less secure than fingerprint or PIN so a backup lock method is always required during setup.
On your phone: open Settings
Tap 'Biometrics and security'
Tap 'Face recognition'
Enter your PIN or password
Tap 'Continue' and look at the screen
Move your face slowly until the scan is complete
Tap 'Done'
To remove: Settings > Biometrics > Face recognition > Remove face data
